We have written about 23andme, a company that really put genetic testing on the radar of consumer wallets, well now a new startup, Generation Health got a $5M in Series A funding (more...). Generation Health will be playing in an exploding market and helping to fill the void in the payer arena. Analysis of the findings form these test and insuring the financial viability of the tests will play a big role in benefit management 2.0. It would be great if the founders can present at our January meeting but by the look of the website it seems that there is not much more they can disclose at this time. Stay tuned for more on Generation Health. |

Last week, 23andme just did to DNA tests what Wii did to the family living rooms. by cutting the price to under $400, they now have opened the door to a much wider audience whose curiosity was already lit with a $1000 price tag.
