We are proud to announce that NY Healthcare Technology Organization with 200+ Patient Advocates is now officially a Health 2.0 New York Chapter.

New York Healthcare Technology Organization was formed in June, 2008 with a sole mission: "contribute to the healthcare system innovative ways to use technology - with a focus on the patient". We also want to spur interest in New York tri-state area for healthcare startup community and bring the innovators and capital together to solve real-world problems.

Around the same time, Ted Eyton published an augmentation to the definition of Health 2.0:

"Health 2.0 is participatory healthcare. Enabled by information, software, and community that we collect or create, we the patients can be effective partners in our own healthcare, and we the people can participate in reshaping the health system itself".

Given our focus on helping the patients and the passion for technology we are now officially Health 2.0 New York Chapter.
