| Job Description | A fast growing software development company located in New York, NY seeks a development intern to help enhance and re-package the Social Media Software for the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model written in PHP/MySQL/CakePHP. During the course of the internship you will gain valuable experience working in both professional, creative and entrepreneurial environment and have the opportunity to contribute your creativity to production applications and websites. Responsibilities may include working on following projects: - Working with Open Social and Facebook Connect connectivity model - Parsing the Facebook Social Graph - Re-building social graph from combining data from various Social Networks - Packaging Software for distribution - Contributing to the core platform - Working on the Semantical Search Engine

| Qualifications | Qualifications:
• Understanding of Modern Social Networking Platforms, Social Graph • Strong background with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML • Must be able to understand and use development frameworks • Knowledge of PHP Cake is a plus • Must be able to work independently, be receptive to ideas, be willing to learn, spread the knowledge • Must have excellent communication and analytical capabilities • UI development and design is highly desired • Must understand Object Oriented PHP • Self-motivated, well-organized, and excited to take ownership and responsibility • Team player capable of having fun contributing, sharing, and learning This is an unpaid internship position. Internship credit is available. This position will require 40 hours/week during the summer with the possibility of continuing for 20 hours/week during the school year. This is a fun and friendly environment of hard working people. |
